Route details

Our fully marked half marathon route begins at the National Trust centre within Dunstable Downs.

The first quarter of the race takes runners on a short loop towards the Tree Cathedral, along to Bison Hill and back past the centre on some quality undulating trails with great view towards Ivinghoe Beacon.

Once past our aid station (5.8km), runners embark on a full loop of the Kensworth Quarry perimeter trail, providing some unusual views on wide undulating dirt paths.

Upon rejoining the Downs and passing the aid station again (12.5km) the runners complete an out and back to Five Knoles, where the biggest climb of the race is tackled.

The final section dips back onto the lower Downs trails to run what was the first 5km, now in reverse, all the way to the finish line.
